Google to digitalize books.. !!!
Do you read e-books?
Frankly .. i print them out and then read them.. am such a waste of papers !
Libraries and publishers attacked on Friday a project already under way to
digitize all the world's books so that the Google search engine can point to
information in them.
Google has already begun scanning the university libraries of Harvard,
Stanford, Michigan and Oxford, and the New York Public Library and is also
receiving new books to scan from publishers, mainly smaller ones, that support its project announced in December.Google says it will not put copyright books online in their entirety without permission from the rights owners, but it does display up to five pages of a book so that the internet user can check whether the 'hit' is relevant to their needs.
