Few other ads..

Did i mention that one of the reasons i started posting the previous post was because i was watching TV in a prime hour and the amount of advertisements that i had to "swallow" in that hour would have caused ... constipation of my MIND !

The following day i decided to time them.. so i got my paper and pen and started jotting few things and this is what i found out:
9:00-9:05 the series start
9:05-9:08 ADs
9:17-9:22 Ads
9:30-9:34 Ads
9:34-9:35 news (ONE MINUTE)
9:46-9:50 Ads

16 minutes of REPEATED advertisements.

Now i wouldn't mind SO MUCH breaks if there where PROPER ads.. i got sick of ads of shampoo.. kids... coffee.. food.. creams... (anything a woman was supposed to be interested at)

Should i email them and tell them "please change the ads or cut down the intervals"

that is the politest i can get ..

Side Note:

Few Ads...

Speed Kills, Slow Down

(I liked the way they used the roads to illustrate an image of a person)

Fish Breath & Sock Breath:

Agency: Mccann, Puerto Rico

I know it is disgusting lol but would it make you buy the chewing gum? lol

"Children Can live in places you can never imagine "

A cutout of a homeless kid was hidden inside tent cards kept on coffee tables. Since the menu is printed on these tent cards, many people who casually lifted these tent cards were shocked to find a kid inside. Not only did it catch people unaware, but evoked immediate empathy towards the children living in such conditions. As a result, from the 54 outlets where the activity was carried out, SUPPORT collected over two lakh rupees (one lakh is equal to a hundred thousand) within just over six weeks. The willingness of people to contribute has encouraged them to replicate this activity in other cities as well.

And now ladies and gentlemen.. my favorite TV AD (so far) .. drum rolling....

A Last Dot:
in marketing.. repetition could cause an oppisite attitude by the consumer.. instead of liking the product; he'd be too "stuffed" of it from the ads he sees.. he turns to "dislike" the product instead... التكرار ما يعلم الشطار !!
