Archives brought back to life..

I was in the attic today... looking for a post i wrote ages back and kept it in my draft... i found it beside few other posts... it still had the same feelings in it.. the same smell of that perfum that mixed the roses with a drop of musk and dehn il 3oud.. it still made my heart feel warm.. warm respect !

After indulging myself with the feelings i had from that particular post; i started wandering around from this post to the other..laughing at how stupid i was writing what i wrote in some of the posts.. and wondering why did i write what i wrote in other posts..

Some of my drafted archives are back to life again.. i kept the date as it was.. you'll find them somewhere at the very far end of this blog (if interested of course)

Subhan'Allah. My first visit to your blog and the first post I chance upon is the one titled "Confessions...my first C.R.U.S.H". Masha'Allah, you just summed it all up in an amazingly fascinating manner.

I remember when my father used to read his stories out to me. I was so much in awe of him that it used to make hair stand on the back of my neck. Everytime.

Then one night after my family and I had come down from our Hajj trip (back in 2000) and I had my first comfortable sleep in what felt like forever, I got the chance to meet him. It was an out-of-body experience and though the faces and the sounds are very vague now, at the time I never thought it possible, not by the wildest stretch of the imagination.

I heard the Rasul-Allah (SAWS) deliver a series of lectures. Perhaps it had something to do with having just come back from Madina but that night I met the Prophet (PBUH), Umar Ibn Al-Khattab and Abu Baker (RA) and the only one who's eyes I couldn't look into was Umar (RA) eventhough he spoke to me and taught me how to carry myself. There was nothing pedantic in the way he spoke. No tone of instruction, though it seemed he loved to teach and spread the word. I like to think I was a good student :D It was the most sobering experience I've ever had. Can't ever forgive my little brother for waking me up that morning. GRRRRRRR! :(

Thanks for the post, Dot. It just shook me up :)
