Reflections on IWD...

IWD: they all spoke about International Women's Day and they kept talking forever about things like: human rights, equality, justice, political rights etc etc !

For some reason...all what i could think of was You My Dear Sir....

To you SIR, I wrote those words…

Yes, for you were the reason behind the success of all those women. You stirred the jealousy in their souls and pushed them to march and parade asking for their rights. They saw you and wished for the same… You were a reason for their secret meetings at times women had no rights to discuss politics… they spoke about you… and endlessly they discussed how can they be on the same level as you are…
Because of you…

They believed that they can be independent…”we don’t need men in our lives” they said…but believe me…dependent on you they always were…when they are feverish and sick…all what they’d long for is to open their eyes in the middle of the night and feel safe knowing that you are there for them….

If only you understood them...all what you needed to do is become an alchemist…for women are a complicated equation of chemistry… you never know if it is an alkaline or a base… you have to master its changes…and visualize what affects such changes… more specifically…you…you are the greatest reason for their change…

Why did you change…

They were fine when u used to listen and talk…why did you peel off your skin…or is this a mask? Violence and abuse and torture ? You scared them…and so they needed protection…from you…you pushed them to search for this protection when they could have found it between your arms…between the lashes of your eyes…with every look…and even a glance…

So you made them jealous of your success….you changed…you became violent….and you became ignorant…

You deprived them of the feelings they ought to feel with your presence…and they searched for it somewhere else… you made it difficult for her to learn….so she fought for it….just to prove to you that she deserves what you took away from her.... you ignored that once upon a time this women you decided to lock in a house between those walls was the only reason you lived for….the only reason you sweated to earn those few pennies…was the only reason you traveled the seven seas for…

To you Sir, I write…
How can I be independent from you when I live on you… I live on your existence…what am I without you… when I am a part of you… if I can I would have filled a tray with blood and let it dry in the warmth of your passion maybe then I’d find the residue….my DNA….i carry a part of you with me all the time…

Equal I don’t want to be… I am too delicate to suffer as you do…beside you I shall not walk…a step behind you I will be…I want you to protect me…always…

I don’t need you to be on Mars to understand me…set foot on Venus and I’d take you around...
I love the fact that we two different opposites… we proved the physics theory… I love the facts that you drink a frappicino and I don’t… that you love yellow and I don’t... how can it be if we both preferred the right side of the bed…one would have sleepless nights for a while… I love the fact that we are different…yet similar…opposites…yet…alike… I love the fact that you tell me what my subconscious mind would want to hear….i love the fact that when facing each other my left hand faces your right and my right leg faces your left …and my heart faces your right side while yours faces my left…

To you Sir, I write…

The daughter of Adam & Eve I am…I was never the daughter of Eve only…

Very well said, "The daughter of Adam & Eve I am…I was never the daughter of Eve only.

Our Creator has created Men & Women different because they have different roles to play. Both men & women are unique, each has their own points of strength & weakness. Instead of finding new ways to complement each other, these movements of "liberation of women" have only lead to more problems. It is not a big surprise to see the increasing number of divorce rates & breaking up of familes in the West. And who suffers the most? The poor children. So people should stop complaining when their children decide to throw them away in the homes for elderly.

And I hope that we also stop following the West blindly in everything. May Allah guide us to His right path.

By the way, nice template :-)

Wow.. that's the most beautiful post about IWD I've read! That means something coming from someone who's not the biggest fan of IWD but tolerates it.. and understands the reasons why it's there...

Great writing :)
