to drown.. or not to..

i feel the tide pulling me towards the current..
with a strong pull.. and very gentle push....
with every stroke my arms feel weaker..
i try to reach the shore.. with all my strength..
swallowing the salty painful water..
i know i'd be safe there..
I am pulled down towards the bottom..
looking at the shore.. and feeling the distance..
i used to have faith and hope..
but they got diluted with every drop of salt..
when dreams are a painted canvas of water and salt..
and algae and boats..
when moments are currents..
towards the shore it pulls us
or down to the little corals you are pushed...
and its you who is struggling..
knowing where you belong...
kicking with your feet..
and moving your arms..
yet failing to move on...
is it your final destiny..
to die helplessly through a drown..
or should you keep believing..
in a dream you always have drawn..
i've been in the sea for a while..
they thought i might be a mermaid..
but i knew i belong to the shore..
to that stable ground..
to the feeling of sand..
and seashore walks..
to the smell of land..
to you i belong..
to you my hope..
